WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NANO SHADING/NEEDLING AND MICROBLADING?
Nano Brows is the next generation of microblading. The technique of Nano Brows uses a tattoo machine to deposit the pigment into the skin. It is less invasive and is a less traumatic technique for the skin in comparison to the microblading technique as the Nano technique does not cut the skin.
Microblading technique is cutting of the skin in order to implant pigment into the skin and in some cases, microblading can cause scarring of the skin over time.
Microblading uses a razor-like tool to cut and to insert the pigment in the skin.
Nano Brows is a uses a tattoo device and a single needle to push pigment into the skin.
Both techniques are considered a permanent makeup procedures and provides the look of realistic hair strokes in the skin.

PRECISION: Nano-needling is more precise, due to the tool used.
HEALING - Nano brows heal faster that microbladed brows
DURATION: Nano brows last longer than microbladed brows. With regular touch ups, the lifespan of a microbladed brows is 1-2 years, whereas nano brows can last up to 3 years.
WHO IS NOT AÂ SUITABLE CANDIDATE FOR COSMETIC TATTOOING
You are NOT a suitable candidate for this procedure if you are/have..

Pregnant or breastfeeding
History of keloids or hypertrophic scarring
Diabetic (require doctor's clearance)
Chemotheraphy (consult your oncologist)
Viral infections and/or diseases
Epilepsy
Pacemaker or major heart problems
Organ transplant
Skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
Sick (cold/flu)
Accutane in the past year
Heart conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, poor general health
Any treatment, medication or illness that compromises the immune system/healing
DO I NEED TO BOOK A CONSULTATION PRIOR
All New Client Appointments are scheduled for four hours. In this time frame, we will provide the consultation, shaping and the tattooing all in one appointment.
For the consultation portion, we take careful consideration of each client's eye shape, bone structure and personal preference.
Before proceeding to the tattoo portion of the appointment, we carefully measure and outline a shape that is the most flattering for the clients features.
We will suggest a shape is the best suited for the client and once the client approves the shape we will proceed to the tattooing process.
WILL ITÂ HURT?
We take every precaution necessary to ensure the procedure is as pain-free possible. A strong topical anesthetic cream is used prior to and during the procedure to keep you as comfortable as possible. Some clients find the procedure a little uncomfortable with others experience no discomfort at all.
I’VE HAD PREVIOUS EYEBROW TATTOOING, WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS FOR COVER-UP, CORRECTION WORK?

All clients with previous brow tattoo work from another studio MUST first send a photo of your makeup-free brows to thebrowden@outlook.com prior to booking an appointment. For cover-up or correction work, the best candidates are those with previous tattoos that have faded 70-80%, however, we still need to make sure by analyzing a photo of your bare brows. Any cover-up, correction will incur an added rate of $100 due to the additional time, supplies and skills needed to sufficiently neutralize the existing brow tattoo and apply the new design and pigment.
HOW LONG DOES PERMANENT MAKEUP LAST?
Permanent makeup can last for 1-3 years depending on several factors, such as, skin type, lifestyle, aftercare etc. A touch-up is required 6-8 weeks after the initial appointment. Clients that choose a soft ombré or Nano Brows application, light colour shade or not follow the aftercare instructions may require more touch-up appointments.
Factors that will cause your permanent makeup application to fade faster include: tanning bed/sun exposure, exfoliating, oily skin, profuse sweating (e.g. hot yoga), medical conditions. We recommend a yearly "colour boost" touch-up to maintain the procedure’s colour integrity, but always advocate holding off for as long as possible to maintain skin integrity.
WHAT DOES THE AFTERCARE INVOLVE?
Nano brows after-care routine involves strict rules that need to be followed in order to get the desired results.
The first 3 days, avoid all water contact on the new Nano Brows.
On the fourth day, apply a very thin layer of the A&D ointment to the new Nano Brows. You may use clean fingers to apply the ointment.
Use the A&D ointment 2-3 times a day for 7 days.
After 2 weeks, you may resume all regular activities and skin care routine.
After 3 weeks, use SPF 60 to protect your new Nano Brows from fading.
